Genus of about 300 varied species of succulents primarily of tropical Africa, including Madagascar. Many have showy flower clusters from mid winter till summer, some varieties flowering continuously. Excellent choice for a container plant.

Spurge -Worldwide distribution. Incredibly diverse group of plants. They have striking forms with interesting leaf and flower colors. Some have thorns like a cactus or thickened stems like a succulent. Many possess a milky, usually caustic sap that can cause a mild skin irritation. Be very careful to not rub in or around the eyes.
